Yeah, for now I'll work the henna since it seems to be making my locks nice and healthy. Not sure what I'll do when I'm completely grey....rofl Sometimes I try to visualize myself being 100% grey. Oh! What a sight that will be........LOL

That's a shame you don't have the best water there. I say, Henna is definitely worth a try. It's the only safe alternative that I'm aware of to date. =)

I think the last time I tried I was 14.

I'm not the spring clucker I once was, but I feel like it.

Michelle, I've heard of some gals having this same problem. Personally, I think the key here is to make sure that the hair is free of all oils before henna'ing. And of course, closer to scalp always tend to be more greasier than the actual hair ends. Once the hair is free of such greasiness the dye will better penetrate those stubborn hairs. Also, African Black soap works awesome for cleansing the hair before henna application. It's by far one of my favorite soaps:)

Henna's don't work for me :-( My hair is all natural but I do use the new L'Oreal product with the comb on the end. I think its called Root Rescue.

I simply don't like grey hair. It doesn't bother me so much in the back of my head but I hate it around my temples!

OK my ranting is over. Your hair looks nice and natureal :-)

Lisa, I totally understand where you're coming from. And honestly, I think silver hair is beautiful:) Years before my grandma was completely grey she decided against dyeing her hair. Dyeing your hair can become tedious especially having to cover every singe new grey hair so for the time being, I'm going to enjoy the benefits of henna on my dark hair:)

Thanks Robin! I think you'll love henna. Just one caution though, henna on blonde hair will show up a vibrant red. To tone down you may need to mix with indigo. Once I'm completely grey, I'll probably need to do this or even mix with cassia which adds a golden tone. I have never came across Organic hair dyes - never seen them around here at least:) If you decide to give henna a go, I suggest you check out the mixes over at hennaforhair dot com. Good luck!

Your hair looks lovely, Michelle! I always wanted to try henna, but was a blonde! Now I am more on the brunette side of things and seriously considering giving henna a try. I do use "organic" hair dye, but even organic hair dye has nasty chemicals in it. Henna may be a great solution for me. Your hair looks shiny, healthy, and the color is beautiful too!
